When cure is no longer possible, Compass Hospice, Inc. focuses on providing the best quality of life possible. Physicians are encouraged to remain involved in their patients care and will be informed of their progress.

When to refer someone to Compass Hospice:
When you have a patient with a prognosis of six months or less and the patient is no longer receiving curative treatment.

To refer a patient to Compass Hospice, please call our office (940)627-2888.

Palliative Care Options:
Palliative care options refers to the control of symptoms such as:

  • Pain
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Sleep disturbance

Psychological support is provided for patient and family to include education and counseling. Assisting the patient and family to know what to expect, removes alot of fear and uncertainity.  After the patient has passed away, awareness of spiritual needs and bereavement follow-up for his or her loved ones.

CMS RELEASES PROVIDER EDUCATION ARTICLE ON HOSPICE
