Auxiliary
When we set out to start
Compass Hospice three years ago, it was more than just starting a business. It
was a chance to give back to our community. We vowed to provide the highest level
of hospice care & services to our patients and to serve our community at large.
Once our hospice program was established in the community, our volunteers developed an auxiliary to help support the
mission of Compass Hospice. Our auxiliary quickly formed and established Nell’s
Nook Thrift Store. Funds from the sales of donated items help fund non-hospice needs of some of our families by providing
utility assistance, non-hospice related medications for patients or their caregiver and a variety of other needs. It also provides for families in our community that may be facing a crisis or a time of need for household
items or clothing. Nell’s Nook has also teamed with Wise Pregnancy Resource Center by providing space for items donated to their agency. These items are offered for sale at the thrift store. You can read more about our Thrift Store "Nell's Nook" by clicking on the page on the menu.
