  Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteers are an integral part of our program. We truly value our caring volunteers. We are proud of our adult and teen volunteer programs. Volunteers are caring individuals, from all arenas of life, who want to serve our community by providing support to end-of-life patients and their families in a number of ways. Volunteers assist with various needs, such as:

Administrative Support:

Clerical assistance

Filing

Data entry

Receptionist duties

Mail outs

Direct Patient Care:

Visiting with patients/families

Friendship

Emotional Support

Companionship

Respite

Errands

Transportation

Light Housekeeping

Cooking

Reading

Lawn care

Minor home repairs

Ramp construction

Community Services:

Health fairs

Speaker's bureau

Conferences

Bereavement

Friendship

Emotional Support

Periodic support with families through personal phone calls/cards

Assistance with Bereavement: events (parties, gatherings, memorial service, etc.)

Interpreters:

Facilitate Communication between hospice personnel, patients and families through visits with staff and/or phone calls
